Tips

  1. 1. Replace the filter on schedule: every 2 weeks for the Wireless 2.0, every 4 weeks for the 2.2L and 4L models.
  2. 2. Rinse the pump and wash the fountain each time you change the filter.
  3. 3. Fill the fountain with water before switching it on, so the pump never runs dry.
  4. 4. Keep the water above the pump. Check the water level indicator and top up when it gets low.
  5. 5. Soak a new filter fully before use so water can flow through it instead of overflowing.
  6. 6. Soak new filters in a separate bowl, not in the fountain, to keep loose carbon dust out of the water.

Can the fountain run all day, every day?

Yes, the fountains are made to circulate water continuously. Keep an eye on the water level indicator and top up before the water drops below the pump.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes, our fountains are listed as dishwasher safe. Take out the pump and filter first, and check your manual for which parts can go in the dishwasher.

Do I still need a filter if I use filtered or bottled water?

Yes. The water keeps circulating while your cat drinks, so the filter catches hair, food bits and other debris that land in the bowl, not just what was in the water to begin with.
